The Mohave County's 700-acre solar farm project will be heard again by the Planning and Zoning Commission on June 19.

As one of the landowners 300 feet from this proposed solar farm I am very concerned about many aspects of this project.

Expected potential effects for families include:

• The presence of large solar panels and associated infrastructure will decrease property values and hinder the marketability of our homes.

• The presence of heavy machinery, increased traffic, and airborne dust and dirt pose further disturbances that will infiltrate our homes and affect our health.

• Plants and animals that do not die during construction will flood our yards, presenting a significant safety challenge. Where do they think the Mohave greens and other poisonous snakes will go? They will be under our houses, cars, and trucks.

• Our serene and natural surroundings will be overshadowed by the industrial appearance and constant humming or buzzing that will affect the peace and tranquility we cherish in our homes.

• Living in a rural area grants us the amazing privilege of enjoying the breathtaking beauty of the night sky, with its awe-inspiring display of stars. Light pollution will affect this beauty.

I would ask your readers to empathize with our situation by envisioning themselves in our shoes, just 300 feet away from this solar farm, and to reflect on how they would feel if it were their own family home directly affected by this development.
